Pre-Kindergarten
In our safe, stimulating environment, the whole child is developed through the play and learning environment. Our preschoolers are involved in problem solving, developing pre-reading skills, and exploring math concepts. Our children experience simple math concepts through sorting, matching and patterning. In addition, our children listen to stories, sounds, poetry and a variety of learning activities. Children are also engaged in free play and are encouraged to express themselves through the arts. Other activities include art & craft, painting, water and sand play, paper tearing, cutting and pasting and the development of the fine and gross motor skills.
Kindergarten
At the Kindergarten level, our students continue the learning process. At this age, the student is full of energy and needs physical activity, so our teachers focus on activity-based learning. Children are given explicit phonics instruction, providing the foundation for reading. They required to utilize basic math concepts, and are also introduced to the creative and performing arts. Learning is enhanced by school performances, field trips and advice from special resource persons.
Preparatory
The focus in Grades 1-6 is a balance of academics, creative and physical activity. Students are taught the core subjects by class teachers. These class teachers ensure class-stability, have an in-depth knowledge of students, and possess the ability to cater to each child’s individual needs.
Specialist teachers educate our students in the areas of music, computer studies, drama, library skills, foreign languages and physical education. Our children develop problem-solving skills appropriate for each grade’s curriculum culminating in concentrated preparation and study for the PEP projects and examinations in Grades 4-6.
Our GSAT scores are consistently above national test scores. We expect to continue to deliver quality education as we are now introduced to the NSC from the Ministry of Education Youth and Information.
