On Tuesday, March 10, 2020, the Ministry of Health and Wellness (MoHW) confirmed the first imported case of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus). At Foundation Preparatory, we continue to review information from the relevant authorities including the MoHW and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Information.
We assure you that your child’s safety and wellbeing is of utmost priority and our plan builds on our everyday practices of encouraging proper hygiene, sanitization, overall education on the matter, and reviewing communications and advice from local, regional, and national experts.
We will continue to meet as a school administration, monitor the situation, and communicate to you with all relevant information as updates are received regarding the Coronavirus.
We ask you to speak to your child/ children about the importance of routine hand washing, appropriately covering coughs and sneezes, and overall good hygiene practices. Just as importantly, when children are ill, they should not attend school until they are completely better. Please seek the appropriate medical advice if you or your child start experiencing symptoms.
As always, we appreciate your support and cooperation. You can assist us by remaining vigilant in your approach to dealing with this health concern. We are the greatest influence on our children’s reactions to these types of events, so let us remain calm, respectful, and empathetic, while protecting ourselves and others.
